AUSTIN – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) recently graduated three new canine teams from a nine-week training program on Thursday, April 1. These canine teams will join more than 50 DPS Canine Detection Teams across Texas within the Texas Highway Patrol Division.

May 28, 2020- AUSTIN – The COVID-related waiver on expiration dates for driver licenses (DLs) and identification cards (IDs) has now ended. The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) continues to urge customers with an expired DL or ID to make an appointment or renew online today.
- The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has added Tieon Lashad Legan, 25, (pictured left) and Jaime Alanis, 37, (pictured right) to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives list, and cash rewards of up to $7,500 each are now being offered for information leading to either of their captures.
