These webinars are purely voluntary and for the purpose of self-enrichment. Please be sure to visit this page on a regular basis for new topics and webinar dates.
 

Fitness Connect Community: Mental Health Benefits of Physical Activity

Join the Fitness Connect Community!

The Employees Retirement System of Texas and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) invite you to talk about wellness topics and share your successes and challenges. 

Monthly sessions, featuring presentations by BCBSTX wellness consultants, can help you get fit and stay healthy. Each month, you'll have the opportunity to connect with other participants and share your experiences. 

The 15-minute sessions will be held at 10 a.m. CT the second Tuesday of the month starting Jan. 10 and will run through Dec. 12, 2023. 

You can register for as many dates as you'd like at one time. If you’d like to change your registration or register for additional webinars in the series, simply log back into this registration page.

  • Oct. 10: Body image: how to conquer your inner critic
  • Nov. 14: Fitness for the holidays

Journey to Wellness: HealthSelect Wellness Benefits Overview

As a HealthSelectSM participant, you have access to a variety of health and wellness resources, including webinars presented by the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas Wellness Team.

You’re invited to attend the upcoming “Journey to Wellness” webinars, which will be held from 10 to 10:45 a.m. the third Wednesday of the month beginning January 19 through December 21, 2022.

Includes information on:

  • Well onTarget® wellness portal,
  • Health Assessment,
  • self-management programs,
  • personalized coaching,
  • trackers and apps,
  • Blue PointsSM,
  • Fitness Program and
  • weight management programs.

Nutrition Connect Community: What is Nutrition & Why is it important to me?

Healthy eating is key to a healthy life.

The Employees Retirement System of Texas and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) invite you to talk about nutrition topics and share your successes and challenges.

Monthly sessions, featuring presentations by BCBSTX wellness consultants, can teach you how to incorporate foods into your daily routine to support your optimal health. Each month, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with other participants and share your experiences.

The 15-minute sessions will be held at 10 a.m. CT the fourth Tuesday of the month (except for in December) starting Jan. 24 and will run through Dec. 19, 2023.

Topics include:

  • Aug 22: Affordable Nutrition Strategies.
  • Sept 26: Feed Your Mind: Eating for Optimal Brain Health.
  • Oct 24: Mindful Eating: Tailoring your diet for YOUR optimal health.
  • Nov 28: Diabetes Management: Foods that heal my condition.
  • Dec 19: Healthy Holidays: Your Favorite Holiday Recipes with a Healthy Twist.
