Principles of Intuitive Eating

Intuitive eating is listening to the signals your body provides when it is hungry as a factor in deciding what and how much to eat. Research shows that intuitive eating is associated with positive body image, lowered rates of eating disorders and higher trends of general well-being. This presentation gives an overview of 10 of the principles of intuitive eating, how they can help you eat more mindfully and how to adopt them into your own lifestyle.

Nutrition Connect Community: Essential Nutrition Practices - Quantity vs. Quality

Healthy eating is key to a healthy life.

The Employees Retirement System of Texas and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) invite you to talk about nutrition topics and share your successes and challenges.

Monthly sessions, featuring presentations by BCBSTX wellness consultants, can teach you how to incorporate foods into your daily routine to support your optimal health. Each month, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with other participants and share your experiences.

The 15-minute sessions will be held at 10 a.m. CT the fourth Tuesday of the month (except for in December) starting Jan. 23 and will run through Dec. 17, 2023.
