3. How far in advance can you schedule a road test?
Appointments may be scheduled through Texas Scheduler up to 180 days in advance.
4. Do I have to provide my own vehicle for the road test?

5. Do I have to be listed on the insurance policy for the vehicle I am using in my road test?
You do not have to be listed on the insurance policy however; you cannot be listed as an excluded driver.
6. I recently bought a car that has metal license plates but no registration sticker. Is this vehicle eligible for my road test?
Yes, you may use this vehicle for your road test if both metal plates are securely attached, and you present the Buyer’s Receipt as proof of registration.
7. I'm from another state and my vehicle does not have a front plate; can I still use this for my road test?
Yes, you may use a vehicle registered in another state, provided the vehicle complies with the registration laws in that state.
8. Can I schedule a road test for my child who is over 18 years old?
Yes, as long you know all the correct login information, you will be able to schedule their road test through Texas Scheduler.
9. What vehicles do I need to bring to my motorcycle exam?
You are required to provide a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle driven by a licensed driver to follow you during the exam.
