AUSTIN – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has added two fugitives to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders list, and cash rewards of up to $3,000 each are now being offered for information leading to their captures. Marcus Lee Torres, 39, is wanted for failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements and a parole violation. Henry Anthony Taylor, 52, who is a high-risk sex offender, is wanted for failure to register as a sex offender.

AUSTIN – The Texas State Senate has confirmed three members of the Public Safety Commission (PSC). Nelda L. Blair, Steve H. Stodghill and Dale Wainwright will each serve six year terms on the PSC, providing oversight for the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).

AUSTIN – Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive Jaime Alanis, 37, was taken into custody on April 20, after investigators received a Crime Stoppers tip on his whereabouts. A reward of $7,500 will now be paid to the tipster.

AUSTIN – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is seeking information in the 1987 homicide of Veronica Taylor. An increased reward of up to $6,000 is now offered for information that leads to the arrest of those responsible if the tip is received before the announcement of the next featured Texas Rangers cold case. A $3,000 reward for information leading to an arrest is routinely offered on all cases on the Texas Rangers’ Cold Case website.

AUSTIN – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) recently graduated three new canine teams from a nine-week training program on Thursday, April 1. These canine teams will join more than 50 DPS Canine Detection Teams across Texas within the Texas Highway Patrol Division.

AUSTIN – The COVID-related waiver on expiration dates for driver licenses (DLs) and identification cards (IDs) has now ended. The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) continues to urge customers with an expired DL or ID to make an appointment or renew online today.
