Special Condition Document Requirements

Note: The following identification requirements apply to all applicants:

Applicants born abroad must provide a Lawful Presence document.
If you do not have a Texas Driver License (DL) or ID you will be required to submit:
- Form LTC-6 with a signature and color "passport-style" photo
- Copy of your non-expired DL or ID

Active Special Ranger of the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association	None	Fingerprints – LTC Fingerprint Information	Provide current copy of certificate of authority issued by the Director of Texas DPS. Note: Documentation of a handgun proficiency course is not required. Must provide proof of current employment as a Special Ranger. Must provide a copy of TCOLE Peace Officer License.	$0 New $0 Renewal

Honorably Retired Texas Peace Officer	Affidavit LTC-84, signed and notarized; OR Applicant may submit a retirement status letter on department letterhead; and letter must contain the following information: The name and rank of the applicant The status of the applicant before retirement Whether or not the applicant was accused of misconduct at the time of the retirement The physical and mental condition of the applicant The type of weapons the applicant demonstrated proficiency with during the last year of employment Whether the applicant would be eligible for reemployment with the agency, and if not, the reasons the applicant is not eligible A recommendation from the agency head regarding the issuance of a license under this subchapter Whether the applicant holds a current certificate of proficiency under Section 1701.357, Occupations Code	Fingerprints – LTC Fingerprint Information	LEOSA/Certificate of Proficiency is optional.	$0 New $0 Renewal
