Special Condition Document Requirements

Note: The following identification requirements apply to all applicants:

  • Applicants born abroad must provide a Lawful Presence document.
  • If you do not have a Texas Driver License (DL) or ID you will be required to submit:
    • Form LTC-6 with a signature and color "passport-style" photo
    • Copy of your non-expired DL or ID

Indigent

Handgun Training Certificate - LTC-104 (received from a LTC Handgun Instructor or Online Course Provider (OCP) upon course completion).

Important Note: Range instruction and handgun proficiency demonstration MUST be completed with a LTC Handgun instructor. 

Fingerprints – LTC Fingerprint Information

One of the following documents showing annual household income and number of dependents:

  • Most recent IRS income tax return (Preferred)
  • Copy of approved government assistance
  • Copy of Social Security Insurance (SSI) benefits statement
  • Copy of unemployment approval or denial letter
  • Evidence of housing assistance
