Special Condition Document Requirements

Note: The following identification requirements apply to all applicants:

  • Applicants born abroad must provide a Lawful Presence document.
  • If you do not have a Texas Driver License (DL) or ID you will be required to submit:
    • Form LTC-6 with a signature and color "passport-style" photo
    • Copy of your non-expired DL or ID

  • Affidavit LTC-83 Statement of Handgun Proficiency, signed by a TCOLE instructor and notarized, with a LTC-100 or LTC-101 showing completion of the Classroom portion only. 

Affidavit LTC-82 Statement of Employment OR

  • Statement from the Court or HR that applicant is employed as a Judge in the state of Texas.

Retirement statement from the Judicial Retirement System OR

  • Sufficient evidence to show you have retired as a judge serving in Texas
  • NOTE:  Retired Federal judges must submit a retirement letter from their court, retirement credentials, or sufficient information to show you have retired from a Federal justice position
