DPS Arrests Five During Capitol Protests

AUSTIN – On Monday, June 9, 2025, the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) responded to a planned and well-publicized protest within the Texas State Capitol Complex, and working alongside our partners at the Austin Police Department (APD), made numerous arrests to keep demonstrators, the public and property safe.

DPS Wraps up 32nd Annual Texas Challenge

AUSTIN – This week, Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Commercial Vehicle Enforcement (CVE) personnel traveled from across the state to Corpus Christi to compete in the 32nd annual Commercial Vehicle Enforcement (CVE) Texas Challenge – demonstrating their knowledge and skills in the enforcement of the federal motor carrier safety regulations.

10 Most Wanted Fugitive Captured in Van Zandt Co. Following SWAT Standoff

AUSTIN – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) announces the capture of Trevor Rhea McEuen—a fugitive from Texas’ 10 Most Wanted Fugitives List—early this morning following an hours-long SWAT standoff in Van Zandt Co. A Texas Crime Stoppers reward will not be paid for his arrest.

Rio Grande Valley Fugitive on Texas’ Most Wanted List Captured in Hidalgo Co.

AUSTIN – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) announces the capture of another fugitive from Texas’ 10 Most Wanted Fugitives List—this time in Hidalgo Co. Eliud Perez Reyes, a violent offender wanted in multiple counties, was arrested on Monday, May 26. A Crime Stoppers reward will not be paid for his arrest.
