Benefits & State Retirement
- The Employees Retirement System of Texas (ERS) administers benefits and manages retirement for Texas state agency employees
 - Beginning with your very first paycheck, a mandatory retirement contribution of 6% will be deducted
 - State/Employer contribution is 10% of salary
 
Medical Benefits
Choice of two (2) medical plans, both of which include prescription drug coverage, Basic Life, and Accidental Death and Dismemberment
Out of Pocket Medical Premiums
- Full-Time Employee: 100% of employee and 50% of dependent premiums paid by the State
 - Part-Time Employee: 50% of employee and 25% of the dependent premiums paid by the State
