Mandatory Annual Training for Current LEAs:

The State Coordinators office is required to provide all active, participating LEAs with annual training. This is vital, in order for each LEA to stay abreast of all the current policies and procedures, and to ensure you have all the necessary information, to run a successful LESO Program for your agency. Mandatory In-Person Training for New LEAs:

Our one day in-person training classes are conducted in Austin, are free to attend and is mandatory for all new participants, prior to any requests for property being approved. Attendees MUST stay for the entire class (including the afternoon session) in order to meet the mandatory requirement for participation in the Texas LESO program. You will receive TCOLE credit for attending an in-person class.

If you wish to register for one of the in-person training dates listed below, please submit your request to txlesoprogram@dps.texas.gov. Please include your name, title, PID, agency, contact number and email. A confirmation email will be sent to you, along with a map of the location and a class agenda. It is highly recommended that your agency is approved for participation prior to attending an in-person class. We will make every attempt to accommodate those who wish to attend for a refresher or informational purposes only but reserve the right to give priority to those who are new participants, as their attendance is mandatory.
