Agencies wishing to request an aircraft must first submit the signed, completed Aircraft Request form to txlesoprogram@dps.texas.gov. Your agency will be added to the National Priority List and as aircraft become available, the LESO Aircraft Lead will use the following five criteria to allocate the aircraft:
- Aircraft available to the LESO program
- The date the request was received by LESO
- High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA)
- Geographic responsibility
- Fair and equitable distribution
