The three-day conference took place Oct. 23-25, and brought together law enforcement, advocates, community leaders and experts in the field of human trafficking.

Increased Reward Offered in Teenager’s Cold Case Murder

AUSTIN – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is seeking information in the 1987 murder of Veronica Taylor. The reward for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for her death is now increased to $6,000 if the tip is received before the next featured Texas Rangers cold case is announced.

DPS Announces Multiple Arrests in Clean Scanning Operation

AUSTIN – The Texas Department of Public Safety’s (DPS) Regulatory Services Division (RSD) continues to work to address illegal activity surrounding fraudulent vehicle inspections known as “clean scanning.” In its most recent enforcement operation, which was conducted in the Houston area this month, 19 warrants were secured for criminal activity related to clean scanning.
