DPS and Harris County Sheriff’s Office Arrest Robbery Suspects

April 30, 2019

HOUSTON – Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Special Agents and Harris County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested four suspects, ranging in age from 17 to 20, for the aggravated robbery of a cell phone store on the north side of Houston last Thursday.

During the robbery, the suspects assaulted and robbed a customer, and stole several smartphones from the store before fleeing on foot to a waiting passenger car and driving away from the area. A DPS helicopter was able to spot the suspects’ vehicle and directed responding Deputies to it; all four suspects were taken into custody a short distance from the store.

This joint investigation between the DPS Criminal Investigations Division and Harris County Sheriff’s Office determined the arrested suspects were responsible for several other recent robberies and one home invasion, which occurred last Wednesday.

Investigators have identified those arrested as:

  • Archie Anderson, 17
  • Lorenzo Fairley, 17
  • Timothy Williams, 17
  • La’zarus Fairley, 20

The suspects, all from Houston, were taken to the Harris County jail after Thursday’s arrest. Anderson and Fairley (17) have bonds set at $30,000, and Williams and Fairley (20) have bonds set at $40,000.

This investigation remains ongoing, and further details cannot be released at this time.

If anyone has information regarding additional robberies these suspects may have committed, they are urged to contact the Harris County Sheriff’s Office at 713-221-6000 or the closest law enforcement agency. To report a crime in progress, call 9-1-1.
