AUSTIN – Yesterday, the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) held a grand opening for its new Mounted Patrol Unit (MPU) Equine Facility in Coupland, Texas, and welcomed its newest riders during a graduation ceremony. The Coupland facility is critical to maintaining a high standard of training and operational readiness for the MPU. The unit is multi-functional, combining public safety operations with education and outreach, furthering DPS’ mission to protect and serve Texans.

AUSTIN – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) announces the capture of another Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive, Herbert Souvenir, in San Antonio earlier this month. A Texas Crime Stoppers reward will be paid for his arrest.

These teams will serve as a critical resource in enhancing public safety, supporting narcotics and explosives detection, tracking operations and broader law enforcement efforts.

AUSTIN – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has added Christopher Domingo Carrillo – a convicted and repeat child sex predator – to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders List. Texas Crime Stoppers is now offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to his arrest.

AUSTIN – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is seeking information in the 1997 murder of 22-year-old Brent Alan Gutheinz in rural Grayson Co. The reward for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for his murder is now increased to $6,000 if the tip is received before the next featured Texas Rangers cold case is announced.
