AUSTIN – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) announces three of Texas’ 10 Most Wanted are back in custody following their recent arrests. Authorities arrested Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives Christopher Garay on Nov. 29 and Johnny Wilson on Dec. 2. Michael Petterson, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender, was arrested on Nov. 27. Crime Stoppers rewards will be paid in Garay’s and Wilson’s arrests.

AUSTIN – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) today launched a public safety announcement (PSA) video reminding Texans of the upcoming changes to the state’s Vehicle Safety Inspection Program beginning on Jan. 1, 2025.

AUSTIN – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is stepping up enforcement for Thanksgiving to ensure Texans have a safe holiday. Texas Highway Patrol (THP) Troopers will increase enforcement efforts on the roads from Wednesday, Nov. 27, through Sunday, Dec. 1. Troopers will be looking for people not wearing seat belts, driving while intoxicated, speeding and failing to follow the Move Over, Slow Down law, among other traffic violations.
