  • AUSTIN – The Public Safety Commission (PSC), along with Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Colonel Freeman F. Martin, recognized the service of several Texans at the first PSC meeting of the year today at DPS Headquarters in Austin.
  • AUSTIN – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) recognizes the Crime Laboratory Division’s 2024 achievements in providing expert forensic laboratory and forensic services for the State of Texas, including solving more than 1,000 cases through DNA testing.
  • AUSTIN – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has added Brandon Hartfield to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives List and Salvador Saucedo Jr., to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders List. Texas Crime Stoppers is now offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to either of their arrests.
  • AUSTIN – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) reminds football fans, and anyone out on the roads, to drive responsibly ahead of Super Bowl LIX this weekend. As the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles compete for the Lombardi Trophy on Feb. 9, DPS will be increasing enforcement efforts statewide to ensure everyone has a safe Super Bowl weekend.
  • AUSTIN – Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender Michael Scott is this month’s Featured Fugitive. The reward for information leading to his arrest is increased to $4,000 during February if the tip is received this month.
  • AUSTIN – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) announces the arrest of two of Texas’ 10 Most Wanted. Authorities arrested Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive Jrdon Joe—who is also this month’s featured fugitive—on January 28, and Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender Marcos Alonzo on January 18. Crime Stoppers rewards will be paid in both arrests.
  • AUSTIN – Today, the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) captured two more fugitives from Texas’ 10 Most Wanted Criminal Illegal Immigrants List. Jorge Dionicio Hernandez and Omar David Zavala were arrested earlier today in Houston and Mesquite, respectively. A Crime Stoppers reward will be paid in Hernandez’s arrest.
  • AUSTIN – Using modern evidence testing, the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Crime Laboratory Division has now identified the man investigators believe is responsible for the decades-old cold case murder of 86-year-old Mary Moore Searight in Paris, Texas.
