AUSTIN - The Texas License to Carry Handgun (LTC) card will now be issued with a newly featured 2D barcode on the reverse side of the card.
The PDF417 barcode contains the cardholder information printed on the front of the card and is readable by a standard barcode scanner.
Previously issued LTC cards will still be valid until the expiration date listed on the card. When you renew or apply for a new license, you will receive a card with the 2D barcode.
