  • EL PASO – On January 14-15, 2021, the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), in conjunction with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), conducted an on-line solicitation operation in El Paso, Texas. The goal of the operation was to identify and apprehend people suspected of being involved in human trafficking by using various websites to solicit sexual acts from minors and adults.
  • AUSTIN – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is announcing the closure of the Texas State Capitol and Capitol Grounds out of an abundance of caution Saturday, January 16 – Wednesday, January 20.

  • AUSTIN – Today, the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) announced Travis Considine as the Assistant Chief of the Media and Communications Office. Considine’s hiring was approved at the December Texas Public Safety Commission meeting. He is stationed at DPS’ Austin headquarters.
