    SAN ANGELO – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Criminal Investigation Division (CID), in conjunction with the San Angelo Police Department (SAPD) and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), conducted a two year Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) investigation which led to the federal indictment and the subsequent arrest of suspects for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine (> 500 grams).

    AUSTIN – The Texas Military Department (TMD) and the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) held a media briefing today to provide an update on the mobilization of resources by the TMD to strengthen the state as part of Operation Lone Star (OLS) at the direction of Gov. Greg Abbott. The briefing was held at DPS’ regional headquarters in Weslaco.

    EL PASO – On October 5 and 6, 2021, the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Criminal Investigations Division (CID), in conjunction with the El Paso Police Department (EPPD) and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), conducted an Adult Prostitution Operation in El Paso, Texas. The goal was to target individuals trying to exploit and victimize adult prostitutes, as well as to identify and apprehend individuals with suspected involvement in human trafficking by using various websites to solicit sexual acts from adults.

    AUSTIN – Two of Texas’ Most Wanted are back in custody following their arrests, including one fugitive and one sex offender. Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive Alberto Mendoza was arrested Oct. 13 in Dallas. Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender Cory Lee Reed was captured Oct. 14 in Canyon. A Crime Stoppers reward will be paid in the arrests of both men.

    AUSTIN – The Texas Public Safety Commission (PSC) along with Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Director Steven McCraw awarded two Director’s Citations; seven Lifesaving Awards; and one Purple Heart to department personnel at the PSC meeting on Thursday, Oct. 14, at DPS Headquarters in Austin. One Director’s Award was also presented to a member of a partner agency at the meeting.

    AUSTIN – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has added two men to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Lists. Justin Marquiwis Cuba, of Sherman, is on the Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives List. Cory Lee Reed, of Lubbock, has been added to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders List. Texas Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $7,500 for information leading to Cuba’s arrest and capture and $3,000 for Reed. All tips are guaranteed to be anonymous.

    AUSTIN – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is making history, graduating its first ever DPS Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) class. The class of 15 Troopers graduated during a ceremony at DPS Headquarters in Austin on Thursday, Sept. 30.

    AUSTIN – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) today announced the release of the 2020 Crime in Texas Report. The report is a collaborative effort and the direct result of the more than 1,200 Texas sheriffs and chiefs of police who participate in the Uniform Crime Reporting program.

Charles Lee Tillman, Jr., of Missouri City, is on the Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives List. Bobby Joe Flores, Jr., of Duncanville, is now on the Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders List. Texas Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $7,500 for information leading to Tillman’s arrest and capture and $5,000 for Flores. All tips are guaranteed to be anonymous.

    AUSTIN – Two of Texas’ 10 Most Wanted Fugitives are back in custody after being arrested this week. Edward De Los Santos was captured Sept. 22 in Austin, and Moises Calderon was captured Sept. 23 in San Antonio. Both arrests were the results of tips and Crime Stoppers rewards will be paid.
