DPS Traffic Stop Leads to Xanax Seizure

MONTGOMERY COUNTY – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) seized more than 3,000 pills of Xanax in the early morning hours of Wednesday, August 15, during a Montgomery County traffic stop on I-45.

At approximately 1:15 a.m., a DPS Highway Patrol Trooper stopped a 2011 Chevrolet Impala, traveling northbound, for a traffic violation. During a subsequent search of the car, the Trooper discovered a black laptop bag on the back seat containing the pills.

The driver – Solomon Schibner House, of Crescent, Texas – and the passenger – Decorian Womack, of Norman, Oklahoma – were arrested and charged with felony manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance. House, 23, and Womack, 24, were transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
