Two fire extinguishers containing methamphetamine

At approximately 2:32 p.m., a DPS Trooper stopped a 2015 Honda Accord traveling east on I-40 near Conway for a traffic violation.  A DPS Canine unit arrived on scene and alerted on the vehicle. The Trooper then discovered two fire extinguishers in the trunk containing methamphetamine wrapped in plastic bags.

The driver, Jesus Sanchez, 24, of Ontario, California was arrested and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance. Sanchez was transported and booked into the Carson County jail. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Special Agents and DPS Special Agents responded and assisted with the case.
