LUBBOCK – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) along with the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office (LSO) will conduct a criminal task force Feb. 28 – Mar. 2. Through coordinated enforcement efforts, Troopers and Deputies will attempt to reduce the amount of criminal activities occurring on the major roadways around the Lubbock County area. These efforts will ultimately improve highway safety by targeting the transportation of illegal narcotics and other criminal activities.
DPS continues to focus patrol enforcement efforts to help reduce criminal activities, intensify crime prevention and deterrence, enable more apprehensions and prosecution of criminal related offences in Lubbock County and encourage intelligence and information sharing of criminal activities with other law enforcement agencies in and around Lubbock.
