AUSTIN – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) today announced the launch of a social media vehicle safety awareness campaign. The new DID YOU KNOW? Vehicle Safety Spotlight series will focus on sharing vital vehicle safety tips, along with information about the corresponding and applicable laws, with DPS’ social media following. The goal of this campaign is to educate the public and help Texans ensure they know the rules to keep their vehicles safe on Texas roadways.
“It’s important that every vehicle on Texas roadways meets safety standards, and this campaign will deliver vital information about laws that every vehicle owner in Texas should know and abide by,” said Texas Public Safety Commission Chairman Steven Mach. “From window tinting requirements to vehicle lighting to license plate placement, this series will feature helpful information on a wide range of topics concerning Texas vehicles.”
