Burned Insulated Communications Wire
Senate Bill 694 (§8), amending Texas Occupations Code §§1956.032(a)(5)and(h) (approximately page 10 of document) enacted by the 82nd Texas Legislature, includes language about recycling whole or partially burned insulated communications wire.
New Rule Adoption Notification
- Rules concerning documentation requirements have been drafted and are in the process of being adopted
- The Texas Department of Public Safety, Regulatory Services Division will post rules concerning Senate Bill 694 (§8), amending Texas Occupations Code §§1956.032 (a)(5) and (h) upon adoption by the Public Safety Commission
Acceptable Documentation:
- Documentation requirements become effective upon new rule adoption (see effective Date below)
- Notice will be posted on the Metals News & Updates section announcing:
- Documentation requirements
- Effective date
- Reporting method details
Effective Date:
- Law goes into effect on Jan. 1, 2012
- Compliance will not be enforced until:
- Step 1: New rule is approved by the Public Safety Commission
- Step 2: 20 days following rules being filed with the Secretary of State
