Electronic Disposition Reporting (EDR)

August 27, 2020

Electronic Disposition Reporting (EDR) of prosecution and court case dispositions to the Texas Department of Public Safety Computerized Criminal History (CCH) is available to local Criminal Justice Agencies across Texas.  EDR can be accomplished through two methods: directly by a criminal justice agency using a secure online portal to manually enter case level dispositions or via batch file upload where the agency or their RMS/JMS vendor can upload a file containing large numbers of case disposition transactions. Information on these two methods is available here: Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) Site.

The statistics in these reports are counts of individual, case level, dispositions reported to CCH by the criminal justice agencies, they are not counts of files or groupings of reported dispositions.
