Jennifer Manuel

I went to the Texas Department of Public Safety on Huebner Rd. to renew my license. I had everything I thought I needed and had arranged for a care giver to be at my house for my husband who has dementia. When I got to the office, I was told it was by appointment only. I was quite upset because I didn't have another caregiver lined up. This whole dementia thing is sort of new to me and is difficult to navigate and to deal with. As I was leaving the building, the person at the door could tell I was sort of emotional and asked if she could help. After I told her my situation, she called on a manager to come talk to me. The person who came, I believe her name was Jenny, was so very nice and understanding. She took me to the desk and arranged for me to get an appointment for that morning. A few minutes later, showing even more kindness, she asked how long my caregiver would be at my house. She then proceeded to take me to another very nice lady who renewed my license very quickly and efficiently. I don't expect special treatment, but I was so grateful this morning for the kindness they showed to me. It was really a good thing and very much appreciated. Please thank your staff for me.
