On August 21, 2021, my wife and I experienced a tread separation on one of our trailer tires while traveling west of Bellevue, Texas. We found a side road nearby where we could safely unload the trailer and change the tire. About five minutes into the effort, Trooper Dwight Kerr arrived on the scene. He helped unload the motorcycle from the trailer and proceeded to help change the tire. The temps were near 100° that day and he spent probably 45 minutes ensuring our safety, even giving us his cell phone number in case we had any other problems while in the area. Fortunately, the remainder of our journey home to Tyler was uneventful. Thank you, Trooper Kerr, for your service in protecting the public at-large and for helping us in our time of need.
