I visited the Plano office and met an employee that was really nice and she understood my situation, explained that I have to schedule online or come in the morning to see about walk-ins, but she encouraged me to keep checking to see if any spots opened up. I am glad I took that advice because I was able to get an appointment. Then after getting all checked in, she was the person who helped me at the appropriate station when it came time to process my renewal paperwork. She was able to get me in and out. Her name was Joanna Thompson, and this was by far the best experience I have had at any DPS location in the past 15 years.
