I was pulled over for speeding by Officer Baldwin. I have to commend this young man for his professionalism and courtesy. While he had every right to be angry with my inattention, he sincerely seemed to be concerned with my safety and that of others. In times like these, brave officers never know what they are facing with each traffic stop, and the fact that this officer could remain so kind in the face of the unknown is a credit to his training and to him personally. I'm sure that officers like him are the rule and not the exception within the Texas DPS, but in my nervousness at the time, I failed to thank him, and I hope that this message finds its way to him.
