I just moved to Texas and with all the extra rules with Covid it has been difficult to make an appointment. I was worried I wouldn't be able to get my license before the 90- day grace period for new residents. Someone cancelled their appointment and the Wichita Falls Driver License Office emailed me and I was able to get seen a month earlier than my previous appointment. There was barely a wait, I didn't even have all my paperwork finished before they called my number. Crystal, the lady who helped me with my license, was amazing. She helped clarify a bunch of questions I had because I'm new to Texas and I'd never heard of the DPS before. She was patient and welcoming, and just a very bright presence. She made the whole process easy and painless. I had to give up my old id, I was a bit sad about it, but she was understanding and made me feel a lot better about everything. I definitely left the DPS office in a better mood than when I went in, and I thank Crystal for that. I just wanted to send you all an email just to let you know that you have such lovely people working at this office.
