AUSTIN – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) proudly announces the graduation of eight new K-9 teams and three certified K-9 Tech Trainers, strengthening DPS’ ability to protect and serve Texans statewide. These teams will serve as a critical resource in enhancing public safety, providing specialized support in narcotics detection as well as tracking.

The reward for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for her death is now increased to $6,000 if the tip is received before the next featured Texas Rangers cold case is announced.

EL PASO – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) along with several partner agencies issued nearly 100 violations as part of an enhanced enforcement operation focused on the state’s Move Over or Slow Down and distracted driving laws.

AUSTIN – The Texas Department of Public Safety’s (DPS) Regulatory Services Division (RSD) continues to work to address illegal activity surrounding fraudulent vehicle inspections known as “clean scanning.” In its most recent enforcement operation, which was conducted in the Houston area this month, 19 warrants were secured for criminal activity related to clean scanning.
