Trooper Jerry Wayne Adamick Jr.

Trooper Jerry Wayne Adamick Jr., 44, died in the line of duty while responding to assist fellow law enforcement officers with an emergency call when his vehicle left the roadway on FM 945 South, struck a tree, and caught fire.

A United States Army veteran, Trooper Adamick joined the Texas Department of Public Safety and was commissioned as a trooper on August 23, 2024. He was stationed in Coldspring, Texas. 

Trooper Adamick is survived by his wife and five adult children. He is the 242nd DPS officer to die in the line of duty since 1835.
