Paul BERRY, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive, was captured on April 11, 2022, in Houston, Texas. Working off tip information, Houston Texas Anti-Gang (TAG) DPS Special Agents assigned to the Violent Crime Squad, along with DPS TAG Troopers, located and arrested BERRY at a residence in north Houston. In 1988, BERRY was convicted of Aggravated Robbery and Aggravated Kidnapping with Intent to Violate or Abuse the Victim Sexually after an incident involving a 25-year-old woman. He received a 60-year and 40-year sentence to be served concurrently. In 2008, BERRY was convicted of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and sentenced to 20 years' confinement. He was released on parole in May 2019.BERRY had been wanted since June 8, 2021, after the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles issued a Parole Violation warrant for his arrest. Additionally, on July 1, 2021, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office issued a warrant for his arrest for Sexual Assault of a Child.BERRY's arrest was the result of tip information received through Texas Crime Stoppers and a reward will be paid.
