Marques Jujuan THOMPSON, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive, was captured on February 23, 2021, in Texarkana, Texas.Working off investigative information, DPS Special Agents and Texarkana Police Department (TPD) Officers located and arrested THOMPSON at a residence in Texarkana. DPS Highway Patrol also provided assistance in the investigation.On August 27, 2020, a warrant for THOMPSON's arrest was issued out of Bowie County for Probation Violation (Original Offense: Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon).On January 4, 2021, multiple warrants for THOMPSON's arrest were issued out of Bowie County, including Possession of a Firearm and Battery.On January 11, 2021, an Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon warrant was issued for THOMPSON’s arrest by the Texarkana Police Department in relation to his alleged involvement in a shooting that occurred in late December 2020. The following day, on January 12, 2021, a Murder warrant was issued for his arrest by the Texarkana Police Department following a deadly shooting that day in Texarkana, Texas.THOMPSON was also wanted out of Miller County, Arkansas for Stalking/Intimidation.The arrest was not from a tip received through Texas Crime Stoppers, so no reward will be paid.
