Billy Don URANGO, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender, was captured on February 26, 2019, in Wichita, Kansas.Working off tip information, the U.S. Marshals Service – District of Kansas located and arrested URANGO with the coordination of the U.S. Marshals Service – Eastern District of Oklahoma and the U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force, including DPS Special Agents.In 2010, URANGO was convicted of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child (two counts) and Indecency with a Child - Sexual Contact after an incident in Grayson County involving an 11-year-old boy. In addition, he was also convicted in 2010 of Indecency with a Child – Exposure. URANGO was released on parole from TDCJ in June 2016 and was residing at a halfway house in Dallas before absconding.URANGO had been wanted since June 2017, after a Parole Violation warrant for his arrest was issued by the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles. Additional warrants were also issued by the Dallas County SO and the U.S. Marshals for URANGO's arrest for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.The arrest was the result of tip information received through Texas Crime Stoppers and a reward was paid.
