On January 5, 2022, Noe TORRES III, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender, was taken into custody by DPS Special Agents after turning himself in at the Raymondville Police Department. In 2011, TORRES was convicted of Sexual Assault after an incident involving a 16-year-old female. He was sentenced to two years’ confinement. In 2014, he was convicted of Sexual Assault after an incident involving a 14-year-old female and was sentenced to four years’ confinement. Two years later, he was sentenced to another seven years' confinement after being convicted of Evading Arrest with Prior Conviction. He was released on parole in April 2020. TORRES, a high-risk sex offender, had been wanted since November 30, 2020, after the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles issued a Parole Violation warrant for his arrest. Additionally, on November 9, 2021, the Texas DPS Criminal Investigation Division in Harlingen issued a warrant for his arrest for Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration Requirements.
