Joe Glenn STEWART, Jr., a Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive, was captured on April 6, 2026, in Denton, Texas. Texas DPS Special Agents, Denton County Sheriff’s Office, Denton Police Department, Collin County District Attorney’s Office, along with members of the U.S. Marshals Joint East Texas Fugitive Task Force, located and arrested STEWART at a residence. In 2008, STEWART was convicted of Burglary of Habitation and subsequently sentenced to 10 years confinement in TDCJ. In March 2022, STEWART was convicted of Assault of a Family/Household Member by Impeding Breath/Circulation-Enhanced and received probation. His probation was later revoked and he was subsequently sentenced to 2 years confinement in TDCJ. STEWART was last released on parole from TDCJ in May 2025. STEWART had been wanted since January 2026, after the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles issued a warrant for his arrest for Parole Violation (Original Offense: Assault of a Family/Household Member by Impeding Breath/Circulation).Tip information received through Texas Crime Stoppers is being reviewed to determine if a reward will be paid.
