John Carl HAWKINS, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender, was captured on November 18, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas. Working off investigative information, members of the U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force, including DPS Special Agents, located and arrested HAWKINS.In 2002, HAWKINS was convicted of Indecency with a Child by Sexual Contact following an incident with a 16-year-old male. He initially received 8 years’ probation for the sex offense. In 2009, his probation was revoked and HAWKINS was subsequently sentenced to 19 years confinement. He was released on parole from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) in 2019. HAWKINS had been wanted since November 13, 2025, when a warrant was issued by the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles for his arrest for Parole Violation (Original Offense: Indecency with a Child by Sexual Contact).HAWKINS’ capture was not from tip information received through Texas Crime Stoppers, so no reward will be paid.
