Guillermo CHAVEZ was born in Chihuahua, Mexico, and moved to the United States in the 1980’s. In 1998, CHAVEZ was arrested after a child accused him of sexual assault over a period of four years, from age 6 to 10. During the subsequent investigation, a second victim was discovered to have been sexually assaulted by CHAVEZ.On September 6, 2001, CHAVEZ was found guilty of three counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child and two counts of Indecency with a Child. He subsequently received 10 years’ probation.On December 19, 2002, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office issued a warrant for CHAVEZ's arrest for Probation Violation (Original Offenses: Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child and Indecency with a Child). An additional warrant of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender was also issued out of El Paso County.
