Shacory PRYOR, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender, was captured on January 21, 2023, near Troup, Texas, by Smith County Sheriff's Office deputies.In 2002, PRYOR was convicted of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child after an incident involving a 12-year-old girl and subsequently was sentenced to 12 years of confinement. In 2016, he was convicted of Burglary of a Habitation and sentenced to four years of confinement.PRYOR had been wanted since March 26, 2021, after the Smith County Sheriff’s Office issued a warrant for his arrest for Possession of Marijuana. Additionally, since December 1, 2021, the Rusk County Sheriff’s Office had issued warrants for his arrest for Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration Requirements, Tamper/Fabricate Physical Evidence with Intent to Impair, Resisting Arrest, Evading Arrest, and two counts of Possession of Marijuana.PRYOR's arrest was the result of tip information received through Crime Stoppers and a reward was paid.
