John David NEWMAN, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender, was captured on August 06, 2026, in Beaumont, Texas. Working off investigative information, DPS Special Agents along located and arrested NEWMAN. NEWMAN is a convicted sex offender required to register annually. He has ties to Jefferson County, including the city of Beaumont, Texas. In 2005, NEWMAN was arrested and subsequently convicted of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child following an incident with a 3-year-old girl. He was subsequently sentenced to five years confinement. In 2017, he was arrested for Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration Requirements and sentenced to two years confinement. In 2023, NEWMAN once again was arrested for Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration requirements and sentenced to five years confinement. On May 19, 2026, the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles issued a warrant for his arrest for a Parole Violation (Original Offense: Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration Requirements).
