Steven Glenn MASSIE, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender, was captured on April 1, 2026, in Houston, Texas. Working off investigative information, DPS Special Agents located and arrested MASSIE at a halfway house in Houston. MASSIE had absconded from Hardin County.In 1983, MASSIE was convicted for Burglary of Habitation and sentenced to 7 years confinement. He was released on parole in 1984 and remained on parole until 1989 when his parole was revoked. In 1989, MASSIE was convicted of Aggravated Sexual Assault following an incident with a 21-year-old female and subsequently sentenced to 40 years confinement to run concurrently with his prior sentencing. In 2014, MASSIE was paroled and required to register as a sex offender. In 2016, MASSIE was convicted for Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration Requirements and received 7 months confinement in TDCJ. He remains on parole through 2033.MASSIE had been wanted by the Silsbee Police Department in Hardin County since January 2026 after they issued a warrant for his arrest for Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration Requirements.MASSIE’s arrest was not from tip information received through Texas Crime Stoppers, so no reward will be paid.
