Robert James TIDWELL, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender, was captured on April 2, 2026, in Pampa, Texas. Working off investigative information, DPS Special Agents, in coordination with the Gray County Sheriff’s Office, located and arrested TIDWELL.In 2015, U.S. Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) from Amarillo arrested TIDWELL for Sexual Abuse and Enticement of a Minor for Indecent Purpose – Via Telecom. He was subsequently sentenced to 60 months’ Federal probation for Transfer of Obscene Materials to Minors and required to register as a sex offender. In August 2024, TIDWELL was arrested in Gray County for Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration Requirements.TIDWELL had been wanted since January 2026, after a warrant was issued out of Gray County for his arrest for Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration Requirements.TIDWELL’s arrest was not from tip information received through Texas Crime Stoppers, so no reward will be paid.

To be eligible for the cash rewards, tipsters must provide information to authorities using one of the following methods:

• Submit a web tip through the Texas 10 Most Wanted website or Facebook page
• Submit a tip through the DPS Mobile App

Callers’ anonymity is guaranteed by law and you could earn up to the CASH REWARD amount listed for each fugitive.
