Michael Wayne PANNELL, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender, was captured on February 6, 2026, in Bowie, Texas. Working off investigative information, DPS Special Agents and Montague County Sheriff’s Office Deputies, arrested and located PANNELL at a business. In the early to mid-2000s, PANNELL was convicted of Burglary of a Building, Forgery Financial Instrument, Possession of Marijuana, and subsequently served time in prison. Since 2017, PANNELL has been charged in the states of Arkansas and Indiana with Sexual Solicitation/Indecency with a child under 14, Rape, Child Molestation (x2), and Incest. In May 2023, PANNELL was transferred from Indiana to Texas and registered as a sex offender in Montague County.PANNELL had been wanted since November 2025, when the Montague County Sheriff’s Office issued a warrant for his arrest for Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration Requirements.PANNELL’s capture was not from tip information received through Texas Crime Stoppers, so no reward will be paid.
