Jesse Mario VEGA, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive affiliated with the Tango Orejon gang, was captured on April 3, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. Following up on investigative information, members of the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, including DPS Special Agents, TDCJ-Office of Inspector General, Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, Texas Attorney General’s Office, and DHS-ICE located and arrested VEGA.In 2005, VEGA was convicted of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and subsequently sentenced to 2 years confinement. In 2009, VEGA was convicted of Aggravated Robbery and subsequently sentenced to 25 years confinement. In May 2023, he was released on parole from TDCJ.VEGA had been wanted since September 2023, after a warrant was issued by the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles for Parole Violation (Original Offense: Aggravated Robbery).VEGA’s arrest was not from tip information received through Texas Crime Stoppers, so no reward will be paid.
