Michael PAREDES, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive affiliated with the Tango Orejon gang, was captured on February 15, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. Working off investigative information, DPS Special Agents and TDCJ-Office of Inspector General (OIG), located and arrested PAREDES.In 2012, PAREDES was convicted of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon and subsequently sentenced to four years confinement. In 2014, PAREDES was convicted of Evading Arrest/Detention with a Vehicle and subsequently sentenced to two years confinement. In 2017, he was convicted of two counts of Fraud Use/Possession of Identifying Information and Possession of Controlled Substance and subsequently sentenced to 12 years confinement for each offense to be served concurrently.PAREDES had been wanted since August 2022, after the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles issued a warrant for his arrest for Parole Violation. Additionally, on September 27, 2022, warrants were issued out of Bexar County for his arrest for Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Burglary of a Vehicle.PAREDES’ arrest was not from tip information received through Texas Crime Stoppers, so no reward will be paid.
