Roberto GONZALES, Jr., a Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender affiliated with the Tango Blast gang, was captured on September 14, 2023, in Denton County, Texas. Working off investigative information, members of the U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force, including DPS Special Agents, Dallas County Sheriff’s Office, Grand Prairie Police Department, Mansfield Police Department, and TDCJ-OIG, located and arrested GONZALES at an RV Park. Texas DPS Highway Patrol assisted in the multi-agency fugitive investigation.In 1997, GONZALES was convicted of three counts of Indecency with a Child by Contact following incidents involving a 12-year-old girl. He was sentenced to ten years’ confinement for each offense, served concurrently. GONZALES also has past felony convictions for Assault, Burglary of a Habitation, and Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.GONZALES had been wanted since July 2022, when a warrant was issued in Dallas County for his arrest for Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration Requirements with Previous Conviction.GONZALES capture was not from tip information received through Texas Crime Stoppers, so no reward will be paid.
