Joshua Darnell LOCKETT, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive affiliated with the Bloods gang, was captured on September 29, 2023, in Dallas, Texas. Working off tip information, members of the U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force and U.S. Marshals Joint East Texas Fugitive Task Force, including DPS Special Agents, along with Collin County Sheriff’s Office, McKinney Police Department, and Dallas Police Department were all involved in the multi-agency fugitive investigation. In October 2019, LOCKETT was convicted of Deadly Conduct-Discharge Firearm at Individual(s) and subsequently sentenced to two years confinement in TDCJ. LOCKETT was discharged from TDCJ in 2021. In April 2023, he was arrested by Plano Police Department for Unlawful Possession of Firearm by a Felon and subsequently bonded out.LOCKETT had been wanted since July 5, 2023, when the McKinney Police Department issued warrants for Murder and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. In addition, warrants for Unlawful Poss. of Firearm by Felon and two counts of Manufacture/Delivery Controlled Substance were issued out of Colin County for his arrest.LOCKETT’s arrest was from tip information received through Texas Crime Stoppers, so a reward was paid.
