CAPTURE DETAILS:

Nicolas MARTINEZ, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender affiliated with the Peckerwood gang, was arrested on June 1, 2022. Working off investigative information, DPS Special Agents and members of the U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force located and arrested MARTINEZ at a residence in Amarillo, Texas. In 2009, MARTINEZ was convicted of Indecency with a Child by Sexual Contact after an incident involving a 14-year-old girl. He was originally sentenced to four years of probation; however, his probation was later revoked and he subsequently was sentenced to seven years' confinement. In 2012, he was convicted of Possession of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to one year of confinement. In 2020, he was convicted of Credit/Debit Card Abuse and given a 6-month sentence. MARTINEZ had been wanted since October 21, 2021, after the Potter County Sheriff’s Office issued a warrant for his arrest for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. The arrest was not the result of tip information received through Texas Crime Stoppers, so no reward will be paid.
