Working off investigative information, members of the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Fugitive Task Force, including DPS Special Agents, located and arrested CARDENAS at a residence. In March 2019, CARDENAS was convicted in Webb County of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity and subsequently sentenced to 2 years’ confinement in a TDCJ prison.
